On
18th April 2005 HM Customs and Excise merged with the Inland
Revenue to form a single Department 'HM Revenue and Customs' (HMRC).
This new department provides assistance on any matter relating
to Importing or Exporting goods.
Information & Guides provides
assistance on a range of subjects from classifying your goods
to using our online facilities.

Information Sheets are all
available in their
Library section.
The
HMRC website really is a one-stop-shop for import and export
information. It should be the first place you should go when
starting out in importing and exporting, even if you still
employ an agent.
